Similarities in DNA replication and transcription include:

Both DNA strands are used as templates for the two daughter strands being created.

Both processes involve polymerase enzymes

Both involve the creation of a new nucleic acid strand which contains A, T, C, and G nucleotides

Both utilize tRNA molecules

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Both transcription and DNA replication uses DNA template and in replication, both strands of DNA are replicated to produce daughter DNA strands, in transcription only one template strand is used to synthesize RNA molecule.

both transcription and replication uses polymerases, replication uses DNA polymerase, transcription uses RNA polymerase.

DNA replication uses A, T, C and G nucleotides, transcription uses A, U, C, and G.

none of these processes uses tRNA.

b) Both processes involve polymerase enzymes
