What is the scientific basis for immunizations? What are the types of anti-viral vaccines?
As we know our body intially has certain systems to fight against some disease and infections caused by pathogens. So it provide akind of defense mechanism known as immune system . Our body hasT cells , B cells , dendritic cells and macrophages etc which fight against infections . So the process by which the organisms are protected against infection are known as immunization . The immunity can be processed outside and then supplied to the body through vaccine . It enhances the immunity . The types of anti viral vaccines are - inactivated vaccines( inactivated virulent is used to provide immunisation ) , attenuated ( the virulents are active and live and provide broad immune response ) , toxoid ( these are inactivated toxic compounds ) , protein subunits ( fragment of protein is used to create immune response ), conjugate anti - viral vaccine , monovalent and heterotypic vaccine .
