Answer #1

Answer 1) The Scanning objective is useful for getting an overview of the slide. This scanning objective is used handy with some of the slides that contain whole organs.

Answer 2) Many microscopes are focused by moving the stage up and down while the objective lens is stationary. But sometimes, when you move closer while looking through the lens, there is a risk, it could be damaged.

Answer 3) The coarse adjustment is only used with the lowest power objective lens. Once it is in focus, only fine focus is needed to be used. Also, it is advisable to use coarse focus only with the 4x low power objective whereas fine focus can be ued with all objectives. There are many reasons for why not. First is that the image moves in and out of focus too quickly, so that it is difficult to precisely adjust the focus. Second, there is a risk of crashing the objective into the slide.

A. The human eye 1. Whenever a normal eye forms an image, the image distance will always equal the distance from the cornea and eye lens to the retina (~25 mm), regardless of how far away the object is located. Explain why the image distance cannot change. 2. If the image distance must change, then what intrinsic property of the eye lens must change in order for the eye to focus on objects at different distances? Hint: read the Introduction....

Background: Part I: Converging Lenses First, grab the lamp, and place it at one end of the optical track. Ensure that the light is directed to shine on the rest of the track (without anything in the way of the "window" on the lamp). Then, select a 5cm converging lens (red tape), and place it in a holster in the middle optical track. Place the arrow in a clip stand, and place that clip stand in a holster in between...

Problem As the resident physics expert, you’ve been called in to take care of some hornets that have been terrorizing your dorm. You find their nest is located high up in a tree. Your flamethrower is on backorder, so you’ll have to find another way to burn them out. In the deep recesses of the physics and astronomy basement, you find a very large concave spherical mirror from an old telescope. The mirror is 2 m across with an unknown...

Outdoor Advertising is Perfectly Safe with Moderation 1. Through research, I believe that billboards add more value to the consumers rather than be considered "sky trash". Billboards act as signs and give brands the opportunity to gain new customers. These signs help create retention and help other marketing variables as part of the IMC. The billboards also become unnoticeable for drivers that see them frequently so they are not distracting. For drivers that do not see them frequently, billboards act...
