The following are three principal for stem cells which is also known as pluripotency

1. Dividing and capable of self-renewing

2. Unspecialized or undifferentiated

3. potential to differentiate into specialized cells type

An example of hemopoiesis is to show how bone marrow stem cells differentiate into various  blood cells

Multipotent hematopoietic stem cells from bone marrow differentiate into two major progenitor cells which common myeloid progenitor cell and common lymphoid progenitor cell which finally differentiate into following cells

common myeloid progenitor cells- Megakrayocytes, erythrocytes, mast cells and myeloblast ( basophil, eosinophil, neutrophil, and monocytes.

common lymphoid progenitor cell- Natural killer cells and T lymphocytes and B lymphocyets.
