Question

Is elongation of the RNA transcript the third and final stage of Transcription?

Is elongation of the RNA transcript the third and final stage of Transcription?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Transciption: Transcription is the synthesis of single stranded RNA from a Double stranded DNA template. its produces messenger RNA.transcription has three stages, initation, elongation and termination.

Elongation is the second stage of the transcription. in elongation. in these RNA transcript seperates from template as RNAP continues elongation.DNA helix reforms behind RNAP. Many RNAP can transcribe simuntaneously.

The last stage is the termination stage of transcription.
