Bacteria causes several diseases like bacterial pneumonia, tuberculosis, whooping cough, diphtheria, bacterial meningitis, gonorrhea,syphilis, hansens disease etc.

We will see the modes of transmission for these diseases.

1. Bacterial pneumonia- through air. Infected persons sneeze and cough will spread the disease.

2. Tuberculosis - Through air

3. Whooping cough - airborn droplets of sneeze and cough

4. Gonorrhea, syphilis- through sexual contact or blood transfusion

5. Hansens disease- through respiratory secretions or saliva
