The shape and size of a living thing have a major role. Shape provides the basic functions related to it. Each cell organelles has its shape and size relatable to its function. Each organ in the body has a specific role. For example, neurons in our have a specific shape which enables it to communicate to other neurons have dendrites and axons. Another example of a cell can be seen in macrophages of the body which have an amoeboid structure which helps these cell to engulf foreign particles.
