My professor is asking for us to find an example of the word "theory" being misused from an published source. E.g. newspaper, magazine, internet, ect. I am having a very hard trying to fond one. Is there someplace I can look, or a different way of phrasing my google search to find what i'm looking for?

The word 'theory' is often misinterpreted in media while publishing. This is because the content writers are not always from a scientific educational background. Hence, they generally misuse and confuse between the scientific words like a theory, a law or a hypothesis. The entire meaning of the concept gets changed due to the misuse of technical scientific term such as a theory. The publishers use the word 'theory' to make a prediction like the change in weather or timing of a storm or a cyclone. The word gets misused because the publishers do not realise the meaning of theory being a scientific explanation which has enough experimentations proof and can be repeated or reproduced.
