Answer #1

Answer ) Steriods typically take longer time to act compare to enzymes or other class of drugs, this is because the steriods are lipid solube compunds which only shows its effects when it binds to its receptor which is present inside the nucleus, which can be achieved only by crossing the cell membrane, after which they form the hormone receptor complex and thus, this entire process takes time.

We also need to know thet steriods are derived from cholesterol thats is the reason why they are not water, but lipid soluble and its pathway into the cell in through the cell membrane which is made up of the lipid layer.

I hope i was able to help you with the answer!:)
