Around the world, researchers are trying to figure out the expected death rate for someone infected with corona virus. Some people infected with corona virus have no symptoms.

In study 1, everyone who showed up at a hospital was tested for corona virus. All those who were positive were followed. The death rate was 10%.

In study 2, in a small county in Missouri with an unusually high number of cases, everyone in nursing homes was tested for corona virus. All those who were positive were followed. The death rate was 7%.

In study 3, researchers randomly selected people in a suburb of New Jersey to be tested for corona virus infection. All those who were positive were followed. The death rate was 2%.

Reason-

In study 1, only people who are going to hospital are considered and people going to hospital must be showing symptoms. but in most cases, it's asymptomatic, in study 1 people with no symptoms are not taken into account.

In study 2, only people who are more prone to the disease are considered, so it is giving a higher death rate. This study is not taking into account people of all age groups.

In study 3, it is a random selection process and it is not biased based on symptoms or any age group.
