Explanation- PCR is a process by which one can amplify short amount of desired DNA to get large amount of that particular sequence.

Polymerase chain reaction has three steps. In first step, the targeted double stranded DNA sequence is subjected to denaturation by enzyme Helicase. As a result of it, the targeted double stranded DNA unwinds and produce two single stranded DNA.

So, option B is correct.

Enzyme ligase and primase is not required in PCR because in PCR, primers are added in the reaction which are highly sequence-specific in nature.

Taq Polymerase has a prominent role which helps in synthesis of targeted DNA sequence by the extension of primers.

Hence, Helicase is the right answer.
