Chylomicron is derived from two words, chylo (means milky) and micron (means small). It may be defined as a large particle made of plasma lipoprotein existed in the form of droplet and primarily consists of triglycerides. The important function of the chylomicron is in the transport of neutral lipids from intestine to the tissues or blood stream by the way of lymph vessels.
Serum albumin functions as carrier of protein for steroid, fatty acids and thyroid hormone in blood and also function a major role in stabilizing plasma fluid volume. Albumin fatty acid consists of a core of traicylglycerol and fatty acid esters of cholesterol surrounded by a shell of a single thin layered of phospholipids combined with unesterified cholesterol.
