The probability of the female being colorblind is 50% or 1/2

The probability of their first child being female is 1/2

So the probability of first child being female and color blind is 1/2 x 1/2 = 1/4

B.

The probability of the son being color blind is 1/2

The probability of first child being color blind is 1/2

So the probability of both events happening together is 1/2 x 1/2 = 1/4

So the first child being color blind is 1/4.
