1. There are no transitional fossils is the false claim.

Archaeopteryx, discovered in 1861, represents a classical form of transitional fossils which links reptiles with birds.

Any fossilized remains of life that link or connects descendants with ancestors is a transitional fossil. They do so by flaying characteristics common to both the respective groups.

Australopithecus afarensis is another example that connects modern humans with their ape ancestors.

The more recent example includes Ambulocetus natans (discovered in Pakistan in 1994).

Other examples include Tiktaalik, Amphistium, Runcaria, etc.
