RNA polymerase catalize the syntheasyof RNA using DNA as template, transcription factor are the molecule which regulate the activity of the gene. Transcription factor determine the activity of the RNA polymerase . They mY bind directly to the promoter region. RNA transcription start when the RNA polymerase bind to the promoter sequence. It uses DNA as template.promoter is the reason where RNA transcription initiate. The following are the factors which involved in transcription-

(1) promoter

(2) sigma factor

(3) co activator

(4) Co Repressor

The RNA transcription in prokaryotes is regulated by promoter and operator. Example is lac operon.
