Answer #1

Qtern is a sodium glucose cotransporter 2 inhibitor and a dipeptidyl peptidase 4 inhibitor combination product, that will improve glycemic control in adults in persons having type 2 diabetes mellitus. 10 mg of dapaglifloxin and 5 mg saxagliptin was recommended usage of Qtern and it is known to reduce hypoglycaemia in adults. Monitoring of necessary dosage of Qtern too requires monitoring since that will have adverse effects in patients taking it, among which most common effects are upper respiratory tract infection and hypoglycaemia. The incidence of hypoglycaemia will be lower in patients administered with saxagliptin, dapaglifloxin and metformin, when compared with saxagliptin and metformin group.
