Growth of the weed directly make an impact on the growth of tree , it's productivity or yield also the growth of the weed around tree trunk provides favourable environment for pathogen that infect the tree. So by weed control yield can be increased by many folds.

Weed control can be done by using manual method also known as hand weeding, by using tractors or tillers equiped with weeding tool which is also known as mechanical method, by growing intercrop know as cover cropping method , by using herbicide known as chemical method and by using organic mulches such as dry leaves, inorganic mulches like black polythene which is known as mulching method.
