Funfi is a unique and diverse kingdom. More than 1000,000 species of fungi are present. There are many ways of reproduction in fungi like vegetative reproduction, budding, asexual reproduction (by formation of spores) and sexual reproduction (include 3 distinct steps - Plasmogamy, karyogamy and meiosis) occur by mesospores. Fungi are heterotrophic mostly being saprophytic, some are parasiticand some are also symbioyic.

Some examples of fungi are- Penicillium (blue green mould), neurospora (Pink red mould), Aspergillus (grey smoky mould), Yeast(smallest fungus) etc.
