1.Single blinded study:In this study the participent or patient do not know what treatment they are receiving.

2.Double-blinded study:In this study both study staff and participants are blinded.

Strengths of blinded studies:

It prevents treatment being given based on the personal beliefs.

Double blinded study reduces the issue of experimenter bias.

It avoids deception.

It's usable in multiple industries.

Weaknesses of blinded studies:

These are an expensive effort to pursue.

It doesn't reflect real life situations.

It is not suitable for functional disorders.
