The neighbor should not be panic because yeast is used in cancer/biological research for the following reasons :

I. Yeast is a eukaryote and have many cellular process that are common between humans and yeast.

II. Yeast chromosome share the common feature with human chromosomes.

III. Yeast control cell division in a very similar way as that of humans.

IV. Yeast genome is small and easy to manipulate to study various phenomenon associated with cancer.

V. Yeast cell have regular size that grow only in length that make it easy to record cell growth . Therefore used to study cancer.
