describe how "selective optimization with compensation" can be used in daily life

Homework Answers

Answer #1

'Selective optimization with compensation' is a theory which states that we try to sustain a balance in our lives via finding the optimal ways for satisfying the physical & cognitive losses & for being better in activities that are already easy for us. It is a technique for enhancing the overall health of senior citizens & a model for better ageing. These people need to select & optimize what they best capable of doing & compensate their decline & loss. In a daily life scenario, a person who is suffering declining eyesight & likes very much to sing, could spend more of his time & effort to sing by joining a choir & reducing the time spend to read.

hope it helps.
