1. Explain the relationship of plasmids, transformation, and antibiotic resistance in bacteria.
2. Describe the structure of a typical amino acid and explain how they chemically combine to make a protein
3. Describe the process of catabolic repression by glucose concentration, as seen in the lac operon control.
Transformation is a process by which bacteria take up a foreign piece of DNA or plasmid. The bacteria which have the ability to take up plasmid or foreign DNA are called competent bacteria.
The plasmid carries genes that help bacteria to survive harsh conditions, Plasmid contains antibiotic-resistant genes, this help bacteria survive antibiotics and make them antibiotic resistance.
