Answer #1

Q -Most codon specify a -amino acid, for every amino acid there is a specific codon.

Q-Anticodons pair with- mRNA codons. To translate the amino acid sequence mRNA interacts with anticodon loop of tRNA which then attaches amino acid to its amino acid attachment site.

Q-Intron -are removed from new mRNA transcript. Intron is removed from pre mRNA using alternative splicing. Splicing happens in only eukaryotic genes.

Q-Where does transcription takes place?

Answer- The nucleus, because transcription copy only specific parts of DNA and DNA cannot survive outside nucleus. The pre mRNA after transcription is translocated to cytoplasm for translation.

Q-Each amino acid is specified by a set of 3 bases in a mRNA transcript. There are total 20 amino acid 64 codon which codes for these amino acid.

Q2 An open reading frame (ORF) is a section of codons that begins with a start codon and ends with a stop codon. Each codon specifies for a specific amino acid. ORF is the part of a gene that after transcription into an mRNA gets translated into a protein. With the help of several translation factors and enzymes, ribosomes translate mRNAs into proteins. The following DNA sequence contains a complete open reading frame (ORF) of a short transcriptional unit. The...
