I identified a new histone modification in my laboratory. How do I determine all sites on the human genome where this modification is present?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The method for analysing histone modification in genome is chromatin immunoprecipitaion (chIP) based method. The principle for the method is antigen -antibody reaction. It mainly based on the specificity of antibody. The antibodies will contact with the protein or modified specific site along withany bound DNA. Almost 9 types of histone modification has identified and among this methylation, phosphorylation, Acetylation and ubiquitylatiin are most studied one.Gene modification in different sites ( specific loci) on human genome can be identified by chIP method and this method utilizing the specificity of antibody to detect the modified site of genome.

She had a very serious demeanor and when I looked around the office for clues as...

I have a laboratory experiment on Young's double slit interference. My instructor asked us how increasing the distance effects and pattern of interference, and how decreasing slit width affects the pattern of interference. I know that if we increase the separation between the slits, we have more interference fringes produced. What I do not know is how decreasing the slit width affects how many interference fringes are produced? I researched the topic and I', getting conflicting answers as some say...

I'm having difficult understanding the concept of quasi-concavity. From my understanding, the concavity can be identified based on 3 dimensional graph, and also, it can be tested using the second-order partial derivative. If f11 is less than zero, it means x1 is concavity up in x1 direction and if f22 is more than zero, it means x2 is concavity down in x2 direction. However, my problem is that I am having a difficult time determining if the f(x,y) happens to...
