I want you to calculate a random number of calorie intake using both ways You can calculate your calorie intake by using the calorie chart. A calorie chart is a chart which tells you about the calorie which you took for a certain amount of food. You can get calorie chart on internet, for ex: Now by using it calculate how much calorie you take in. OR Step 1- find out your calorific baseline,or your weight. Step2-multiply by 11 Step 3- add 400 maintenance calorie Step 4- subtract 600 calories from it And you will be able to find out your calorie intake

EXAMPLE: Take your weight = 120lbs as an example Multiply this 120 lbs. by 10, 120 x 10 = 1200 calories which is the number of calories your body expends for its BMR - Basal Metabolic Rate. The BMR is energy needed to sustain the metabolic activities of the cells and tissues and to maintain circulatory, respiratory, and gastrointestinal and renal processes. Simply, how many calories it takes to sleep all day. Now, take the 1200 calories and divide it by 2 or 1/2 of 1200 calories for your adult daily activities = 600 calories That is what we would refer to as normal stuff: going to school, grocery store, studying, etc. 1200 + 600 = 1800 calories /day Next: If you do purposeful exercise then you add ~400-600 calories per hour. I will say 400 calories as I workout. Unless you workout everyday nonstop 60 solid minutes. The calories now equal 1200 + 600 + 400 = 2200 calories

Answer #1

The weight here is 144 lbs, age = 26 years, female, Height – 5” 2 inch

The weight is divided by 11 to determine the required calorie intake = 144 x 11 = 1584 calories required. This is the calorie that is required to sustain the metabolism of the body. Anything excess leads to weight gain

The overall calories that is burnt throughout the day in doing different things and we are not talking about the workout and exercise is approximately 600 calories

The daily requirement of calories is 1584 + 600 = 2184

Now on doing exercise, it depends on how much calories is burnt. On doing moderate exercise one requires more calories which is around 500 – 600 calories.

Adding it – 2184 + 500 = 2684 calories
