EXPLANATION--> OSMOSIS is the process in which water moves from higher concentrartion region to lower concentration region in through the semipermable membrane in order equalise the water concentraion.

  • During this process water moves from the higher to lower concentration, thus water diffused down to its concentration gradient, while crossing the semi permeable membrane where it is less concentrated.
  • Sodium passes from the filtrate, into and through the cells of the tubules and ducts , in the ECF and then towards the capillaries, water follows the sodium because of the osmosis.
