Answer #1

Dichotomous key is a tool which is to determine the identification of organisms using biochemical tests or morphological characteristics.

{ meaning of dichotomous is divide into two parts such as gram negative and gram positive}

Dichotomous key for Staphylococcus

stain is cocci, It is gram positive, sorbitol test negative, urease positive,glucose positive, B- methyl glucoside positive, glycerol positive, mannitol salt positive, sucrose maltose mannitol positive, Rhamnose negative and  aesculin test negative.

Dichotomous key for E. coli

It is motile non capsulated gram negative bacteria. It gives gal positive, H2 gas production positive, Indol positive, lactose test positive, adonitol positive, methyl red positive, urease negative, citrate negative, VP tets negative and KCN- negative.

Hi, can you make a dichotomous key for this A common microbiology lab assignment is the identification of an unknown bacterial culture. When this type of lab is done, students are usually given a test tube that contains a bacterial culture, but it is only labeled with a number. The student is also given a list of bacteria that could potentially be their unknown organism along with the expected results for biochemical tests for each organism on the list. A...
