Answer #1

Answer is C i.e it can result in paraphyletic group.

Phylogenetic species concept is define as the smallest group of individual on a phylogenetic tree. It classify the organisms based on their ancestry and descent. Phylogenetic species concept not classify the organisms based on physical similarities. In phylogenetic species concept two or more group that evolve dependently from an ancestral population are classified as same species.

Paraphyletic term used in Phylogenetic species concept it is a group of individuals that include an ancestor but not of its descendants.
