Answer #1

Ans:- Bryophytes are the transition among aquatic and land plants so they are called as amphibians of plant kingdom.

They are small in size and generally prefer moist area for growth. But generally they develop anywhere on the land becouse they are non vascular and small in size. They have well developed rhizoids ( root like structure) that penetrate through the rocks and absorb water and minerals from it. They also helps in ecological succession.

They are seedless and spore bearing plants. Spores are formed after the male gamete fuse with the female gamete. Having spore is advantageous as their disparsal over large distances is very easy and they can also germinate anywhere.

Bryophytes are seedless and non vascular but still advantageous over vascular and flowering plants.
