Describe how a plant gains mass using photosynthesis while a human loses mass during cellular respiration.
ANSWER -
photosynthesis is an anabolic process in which there is production of glucose and intake of carbon dioxide and water, and only release of oxygen, and result in production of glucose, in other simple words, there is formation of new compound with the help of simple compounds and new bonds are formed and energy is store in those bonds, and thus there results in the gain of mass,
while in respiration in humans, there is breakdown of chemical bonds, as repiration is an catabolic process and thus the bond energy is released which results into loss of mass, thats why respiration results into loss of mass, as energy which is stored in bonds are used and released out as the bonds break down.
