Answer #1

A holobiont is a collection of a host and many other species living in or out. these are forming together asa discreet ecological unit. azotobacter,Bacillus etc.. are examples of holobionts. Actinobacteria,Bacteroidetes, Firmicutes,Proteobacteria etc.. constitute specific examples for bacterial holobionts. bacterial genomes shows evolution in the holobiont. development of holobiont is strictly based on the plant's or coral's inbuilt system, but affecting some general factors presenting t environment . development of bacterial holobionts sometimes evolutionary in nature. they are very beneficiary to plants and corals. jasmonic acid signaling system is an example that improve holobiont fitness in agriculture.

Receptor tyrosine kinase signaling is important for photoreceptor development in the fly eye. When signaling is normal, the R7 photoreceptor develops normally. When signaling is impaired, no R7 cell is made. a) You isolate mutations that prevent dimerization of the receptor. What happens to the fly eye in these mutants? b) You next isolate a second mutation in the same fly that activates Raf. What happens to the fly eye in flies that have both of these mutations?
