Explain how Prokaryotes were involved in the evolution of Eukaryotes by means of endosymbiosis
During evolution there are many evidence to know about this symbiogenesis. This evolution mainly involves two prokaryotes Cyanobacteria and alpha proteobacteria which were entered into the cell through porins. Before that many cell membrane foldings are occurred which enhance the transport of the two prokaryote .
After entrance , these two escape from being damaged and start to live within it leads to cyanobacteria to become chloroplasts and proteobacteria to become mitochondria both has reduction in genome size encoding many type of proteins.
EVIDENCE
Binary fission is reason for mitochondria and plastids which is same as bacteria.
Porins are present in the outer membrane of mitochondria and plastids which is also in bacterial cell membrane.
Main point of evidence is single circular DNA found in some mitochondria and plastid which is similar to DNA of bacteria in size and structure.
