The dilemma that “Dr. Brown” and other researchers faced was a faulty N3 reagent in the CDC kit, meaning the N3 primer/probe set did not consistently yield a positive result with the positive control, although the N1 and N2 sets did, and the rest of the controls worked as expected. If you were Dr. Brown, would you use the kit to test patient samples, and why or why not?
Ans) If I were Dr Brown I will never use this kit to test patients because for without proper positive result what is the use of diagnosis. To sure about the diagnosis of patient the positive control must be accurate because by comparision of result with positive band we detect the resullt of diagnostic test . and we cannot say confirmately if primer are working efficiently or not than how we going to use them to test the patient .No never . Always use kit whose reliability is confirmed with positive control.
