Wallace line was a faunal boundary, made depending on the work of Alfred Russel Wallace ( and not Charles Wallace) which separates marsupials and the rest of the mammals. It also is at the eastern border of the old Asian continent and which were marked by connecting shallow seas which existed during deep glacial periods. Denisovan DNA thought to belong to Denisova hominins, an ancestral species of humans are also found in a much higher percentage in Australian aboriginals, i.e. the human population which originally belonged to the Australian side of the Wallace line.
However, one statement that is not true is the separation of spider monkeys and howler monkeys, since they are both commonly found in regions of Central and South America, mostly around the rain forest regions.
