Describe circumstances in which mitosis would occur and the results of this process.
Mitosis is an equational division which gives rise to equal number of chromosome in daughter cells. It occurs in the somatic cells of the body. This process is responsible for growth in the animal body and plant cells. It is also responsible for repairing the injured body cells. It is found in the cancerous cells. It is also found in regenerating body.
