a) by ribosomes using information on rRNA

b) by ribosomes using information on mRNA

c) by lysosomes using information on mRNA

d) by lysosomes using information on rRNA

Homework Answers

Answer #1

In translation protein are synthesized by translating the sequence of m RNA to a sequence of amino acid. The ribosome is the site of action. The ribosome is responsible for synthesis of protein by translating the genetic code transcribed in m RNA into an amino acid sequence.

In 80 s ribosome it have two sub unit . 50s and 30s . The m RNA binds with 30 s subunit of ribosome to form initiation complex . The major role of ribosome is catalyse of peptide bond which is form between amino acids.

So the Answer is option B

Lysosome break big molecule in small molecule with help of enzymes which active on ph5.

The movements of newly synthesized proteins can be followed through cells using a "pulse-chase" experiment.  During synthesis, proteins are tagged with a radioactive isotope (the "pulse"), then the cells are allowed to process the proteins for varying periods of time.  The locations of the radioactive proteins are then determined by isolating cell organelles and quantifying their levels of radioactivity. What would be the expected pathway for a protein that is secreted from the cell?
