During transcription, the sequence of nucleotides in a gene in the DNA determines the sequence of ________ in mRNA. Proteins are polymers of 20 different types of amino acids. During translation, the sequence of nucleotides in mRNA determines the sequence of _________ in the protein.

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Ans- during transcription ,the sequence of nucleotides in a gene determines the sequence of nucleotides  in mRNA.During translation, the sequence of nucleotides in mRNA determines the sequence of amino acids in the protein.

In transcription the complementary strand of dna is rewritten on mRNA , to copy dna to rna .

In translation proteins are synthesised from RNA , proteins are made of amino acid sequence ,each amino acid is coded by codons , codons are a pairs of three nucleotides .

If this helps please give it a positive rating thank you!

The transcription of a gene involves copying DNA nucleotides from DNA into a sequence of RNA nucleotides. Many regulatory factors can help facilitate the transcription processes. One region that affects transcription is the terminator region, which is located on mRNA, downstream of the coding segment on DNA, in the 5' end of the gene on DNA, downstream of the coding segment on mRNA at the 5' end on DNA, within the coding region

The translocation rate of RNA polymerase II is 30 nucleotides per second for a gene you study that is 50,000 nucleotides in length. This gene contains 3 exons and 2 introns. The translocation rate of the ribosome on the resulting mRNA is also 30 nucleotides per second. Assuming that the translocation rates of RNA polymerase II and the ribosome are the rate limiting steps in their respective processes, which process (transcription or translation) do you expect to produce more product...
