Describe what is meant by the antiparallel arrangement of DNA
two strands of DNA arranged in the opposite direction are called anti-parallel strands of DNA. A single strand had 2 ends, one is the 5' end with a OH where in the free phosphate group is attached to a deoxyribose sugar and the other is 3' end with a hydroxyl group is attched to a deoxyribose sugar. the two strands of DNA are arranged where in one strand has the 5' to 3' end (left strand) and other has 3' to 5' arrangement (right strand). the strands do not have 5' stands of both ends in one direction.
