  • Toluene -----------------------------------------------------------------
  • ONPG -------------------------------------------------------------------

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Answer:- TOLUENE is also called as methylbenzene. In Lac Operon experiment this is used to speed up the formation of indicative yellow color.Although its is highly flammable in nature.

ONPG is a synthetic compound which is designed to observe Galactosidase enzyme activity.

Galactosidase enzyme can break ONPG into glucose and a yellow colored compound. The intensity of this yellow color of the compound gives an indication for this enzyme.
