Answer #1

The similarity between route of infection of west nile virus and rabies virus is that both of the viruses have intermediary host as animals which transfer the disease to humans or other animals upon biting, as they are the dead end host.

In West nile disease, the virus uses mosquito and birds as intermediary host, which are transmitted to humans or other animals by bite of infected mosquito

In rabies, the virus remains as intermediary host in animals such as dogs, which are transmitted to humans or other animals by bite of infected animal.
