What is the composition of mucous and serous membranes? In other words what types of tissues make up these membranes?

Serous membranes are composed of single layered cells in simple squamous epithelium while mucous membranes are composed of stratified squamous or simple columnar epithelium , the mucus is secreted from goblet cells seen in pseudostratified columnar epithelium in intestinal and respiratory mucosa .the serous mucosa is located in peritoneum , pericardium, pleura etc , the simple squamous epithelium forms the serous fluid .
