Answer #1

Immunotherapy is the treatment done by introducing the antigen to develop immune response from our own body. Mainly in cancer it is used to destroy the tumour.where certain tumour cells express certain associated antigens. For which we sent this antigens in the form of peptides,or by producing monoclonal antibodies, the immune system of our body recognises and destroys the tumour cells. These is a non invasive process and with less side effects helps in only eliciting immune system.Like other therapies there is no organ Damage.since we use monoclonal antibodies only specific tumour cells will be destroyed. There is no other issue of developing resistance to the therapy .

These immunotherapy can be performed for many types of cancer.Because of which immunotherapy is an effective approach of treating cancer.

This strategy is aimed at reducing complications from bacteria or cancer cells developing resistance to the drugs. What is the general notion behind this strategy? I.e., exactly why could one expect the chance for developing resistance to be much less?
