After the origins of agriculture in various places in the world we see the origins of inequality in wealth and status and social hierarchy. What do you think maybe the reasons and methods that some people became more socially dominant and wealthy? Would you think that each region would have a particular history or do you think there is a common path down this road? Was the development of "civilization" worth the cost of inequality?
Origin of agriculture although councides with inequality but agriculture sector per se is not the cause of inequality. Agriculture has brought prosperity and self sufficiency in world but unfortunately the way it was implemented in the world rsulted in inequality. In india peasants were employed in the agricultural fields as labourers with meagre amount money. This created rich poor divide . The wealthy people monopolised the sector and derived its benefits for themselves neglecting the poor. Throughout the world this inequality became widespread and lower class people could not find any avenues to uplift themseves .
