Autoclave all of the lab coats in one batch prior to disposing of them. Would autoclaving for 15 minutes at 121℃ be sufficient?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The autocakve is used to sterilise the equipment and media. The high steam will kill the microbes present in it. It is generally done for 121° C for 15 minutes.

But utbis not sufficient for all purposes such as prions, some bacteria such as Cereulide. Because they can survive at these conditions also. Archean species such as Geogemma barosiibarosii even reproduce at this 121° C.

Thats why we can say that it is not sufficient for autoclaving the media at 121° C for 15 minutesm

Watch the video on blackboard entitled “Osmosis Lab Procedure Video 1” In this lab, decalcified eggs are placed into 4 separate solutions of varying glucose concentrations. The eggs are meant to simulate cells. Mass of the eggs will be recorded initially, and then eggs will be placed into a beaker filled with one of the following: -Distilled Water -0.5 M glucose -1.5 M glucose...

The hematology lab manager has been receiving complaints that the turnaround time for blood tests is too long. Data from the past month show that the arrival rate of blood samples to one technician in the lab is five per hour and the service rate is six per hour. To answer the following questions, use queuing theory and assume that both rates are distributed exponentially and that the lab is at a steady state. 6. What is the average time...

---------------- Overview: ---------------- This lab will consist of several independent exercises that must all use recursion to solve various problems. Some problems will have fairly short solutions, but declaring and using classes/objects is still required. Some could benefit from having some kind of data structure being passed between calls. Feel free to use your LinkedList if you think it could help. Some solutions will be a mix of iteration and recursion, but all solution need to be recursive in some...
