Answer #1
  • CAH or Congenital Adrenal Hyperplasia is a disorder where the adrenal gland produces an excessive amount of androgens (male hormones).
  • Excess androgens are responsible for the development of masculine characteristics in the female.
  • The clitoris-region can be enlarged and resemble a penis.
  • It causes a deficiency in cortisol and aldosterone.
  • This is a genetic disorder.
  • This results in abnormal development of the reproductive tract.
  • In the US and Europe 1 in 5000- 15000 babies are affected by CAH.
  • Females with CAH need hormone replacement therapy, and in some cases, reconstructive surgery. Males with CAH typically only require medical follow-up.

If f11 is less than zero, it means x1 is concavity up in x1 direction and if f22 is more than zero, it means x2 is concavity down in x2 direction. However, my problem is that I am having a difficult time determining if the f(x,y) happens to...

Sex Education and Teenage Pregnancy Santrock (2016) mentions in his text that the United States has one of the highest teenage pregnancy rates of industrialized nations, despite the fact that adolescent sexual activity is no higher in the United States. Why is that? For starters, sex during adolescence is considered a "taboo" subject in our culture. Abstinence is also promoted and touted as the most safest, surefire way to avoid the consequences of early sexual activity. Additionally, we teach teens...
