9. Phospholipids will not be a good target for an antibiotic because all the living cells contain plasma membrane made up of phospholipids. The host cell which is mainly Eukaryotic cell contains phospholipids in the plasma membrane and phospholipids are also present in the pathogen against which antibiotic is made. So if phospholipids are targeted, then not only pathogen but post cell will also be affected and if is not affected, then it would be very difficult to design such an antibiotic.
