If we inject the gene for alpha five beta one integrity (a fibronectin) into some tumor cells, the cells would metastasize as it has been mentioned that the gene is expressed extremely efficiently. The fibronectin receptors would help in angiogenesis and that is the formation of new blood cells which would help cell-cell interactions all the more efficiently. The tumor cells would start proliferating and would support in cell survival leading to cell migration.
