Investigations of foodborne illness collect data for groups eating, and not eating those food items which are being investigated.

c. true

d. false

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The statement is true since the investigation of the foodborne illness must include a comparitive analysis and charts which clearly indicate the results of the findings being reported. These results also help us with setting up a statistical figure estimate of the people suffering from the foodborne illness as compared to the healthy individuals. The groups of individuals who were reported to suffer from the foodborne illness in turn, necessitates the need to include the people who had not consumed the food as a control group.
