As of the African - American studies, the major aspects of the black experience with all the classes of group like : Introduction to the African Diaspora, Race and their Urban life. Ebony singers : their Gospel songs, Black Power and the Modern Narrative of slavery and imaging the American South, African-American Theater; Enslavement, etc.

The African American studies (black-studies) department was started jn 1968 in the San Francisco State College. According to a common account, a rowdy and a voilent group of black students staged a protracted strike demanding a black-studies program. This is the key factor for that led to the development of African American studies.
