what is the role of spindle fibers during cell division
Spindle fibers are made up protein. They play a major role in dividing the chromosomes equally in a dividing cell. When cell starts cell division in beginning there protein called centriole which arrange themselves in opposite direction and they form the microtubules which so called spindle fibre and these spindle fibers get attached to the middle of chromosomes having protein complex known as kinetochore through which spindle help in dividing the chromosomes between two daughters cell equally. In mitosis they are called as mitotic spindle and in case of meiosis called as meiotic spindle.
